Ninjutsu / Kekkei Genkai Submissions
This thread is for submitting slotted Ninjutsu and Kekkei Genkai techniques. You can find the thread for submitting Trained Style feats for either category elsewhere.

Do not submit techniques for types that you do not have, and do not submit for techniques far outside your rank. As a general rule, no more than 5 techniques should be submitted at once; this does not mean 5 techniques per post. Wait until you've been reviewed for the previous 5 techniques before submitting another set or resubmitting.

Each technique submitted is subject to subjective disapproval based on whatever similarities it may have to a previously-approved technique. Essentially, if you submit a technique that is, more or less, exactly like something that already exists, it might not get approved.

Submission Form:

Name: The name of the technique.
Type: The type of technique: Ninjutsu or Kekkei Genkai. If it is an elemental or medical, remember to write the exact element or 'Medical' in parentheses beside this.
Class: General, Personal, Hiden, or Village. If submitting Hiden for a clan you do not control or a Village you are not in charge of, remember to consult with the proper people beforehand. When replacing a pre-existing Hiden or Personal technique, cite the one you're getting rid of.

General techniques are available to everybody.

Cost: Remember the cost limits for each rank of technique. You can find the ranges here.
Description: Try to keep this as concise as possible. Avoid using too much flavor text to describe it, and remember the stipulations for performing each technique especially when submitting elemental techniques.

Description: By performing the "bird" hand seal, Kaoru rushes at the enemy with her left fist being created. As she's rushing, a small current of wind warps around her fist. When in contact with the fist, her enemy would then not only receive the punch but would also get blown back about eight feet as the wind would disappeared once it was made contact with.

(I'll just wait for this one to be checked upon first then I'll work on the others after to avoid more work. lol)

Remember that each chakra nature comes with its own hand seal that the technique is finished with. For Wind Release, it'll actually be the Dog seal.

Everything else looks good. As for the knockback, we'll make this 3m; so that everybody is using the same numbers (and not feet, meters, etc) we'll stick to using meters for parameters.

Description: The user starts to manipulate the wind chakra within them to increase physical capabilities and allows access to the element to be used for other practices.  Every 50 chakra spent increases Taijutsu and Bakijutsu by 5%, and strength or speed by 2.5%.  This ability costs 10 chakra per rank per turn to maintain.

Name: Reflecting Wings
Type: Keikei Genkai (Wind)

Description: A defensive skill, this technique creates a shield of wind about 1 inch from the edges around the weapon of choice.  It’s purpose is to deflect the movement of projectiles, parrying attacks, and deflecting blasts of weak jutsu of D rank.  This doesn't affect fire jutsu.  This requires Odori Za Uindo to be active.
 
Name: Brush Back
Type: Keikei Genkai (Wind)
Class: Hiden
Cost: 75
Description: A basic yet strong offensive style jutsu, this jutsu requires contact to be made via physical touching or from a draw with weapons.  The user sends a current of wind chakra to push the object away.  This move can be quite damaging if there is nowhere for the object to go when activated.  The distance or force of the push back is based on the enemies strength –  the users Keikei Genkai than transferred into centimeters.  If this number is a positive, than the jutsu fails.  This requires Odori Za Uindo to be active.

Alright. I see where you're trying to go with this; a close-quarters style based on enhances given through Wind Release. This won't work with slotted techniques, though; anything that buffs stats will be on the level of Feats. In this case, it'd work as a Trained Style feat, seeing as you're going the route of having different techniques centered around a 'style' of combat.

Another thing: Basic elements aren't considered Kekkei Genkai. If you're looking for clan-specific techniques based around the Wind Release, they would Ninjutsu-type techniques under the Hiden-class. But, again, where you're going is outside the level of power of slotted techniques.

This doesn't mean you can't submit the Trained Style Feat, since you don't have a Feat slot yet, but your PC won't be able to access it yet. Your clan NPCs can, though, so don't despair. You'll still be able to have fun with it soon enough.

Re-word the last technique for me, too; I'm not exactly sure what you're going for with it, how it's described. The thing with the centimeters and positive numbers is kind of confusing me.

The cost is also below the range for the rank; any D-Rank techniques would be at least 100 Chakra.

The user emits a small amount of electricity covering their body. The sparks latch out and numb anyone within a 10 meter radius, if an enemy where to touch the user they become temporarily paralyzed.

The user creates a large smokescreen of dark clouds that cover a 50 meter radius. These clouds make the enemy unable to see well and precipitate a large amount of rain water. This rain water is highly conductive and can be used in conjecture with other raiton techniques.

Storm Release: Forked Lightning

The user generates multiple lightning bolts from the user's palms reaching to a 20 meter distance. The lightning branches out giving the attack a wider attack range.

Storm Release: Thunder Cloud Wave
2500 Chakra
The user generates a thick ring of thunderclouds and lightning around the user, creating an offensive and defensive shield. This cloud is capable of shooting powerful blasts of lightning in a 10 meter radius keeping his enemies from getting close.

Storm Release: Laser Circuit
6000 Chakra
Several beams of bright energy spread from the user's hands and are shot out towards an enemy. The user is able to alter the beams direction after they are released, making it possible to strike multiple targets with pinpoint accuracy.

Storm Release: Dragon Strike
8000 Chakra
The user generates a large amount of clouds in the air charging for 30 seconds. Once the clouds are fully charged a lightning bolt in the shape of a dragon is stuck down affecting everything in a 5 meter radius.

Cost: 20
Description: The users convert the moisture on the air into tiny droplets of water that the users can collect in their palms. The droplets is then thrown at enemy at fast speed resulting in concussive damage or ballistic damage much like bullets. It can reach 50 in the radius of 15 meter as it spread around like shotgun.



Name: Popping Butterfly
Type: Water
Class: Hidden
Cost: 30
Description: The user conjured spherical shaped balls made of the users's chakra in their palm. The chakra balls is the added with their chakra element affinities( water) to allow more damage to be done. The technique works by throwing the balls at the enemies and it can be exploded on contact or when the users will it. The ball can travel as far as 30 meters when thrown and can exploded up to 15 meter radius. The name derived from when the balls exploded it give off a smoke shaped like butterly

Description: This technique is a close combat/ defensive technique that can be use if the users is trapped in between enemies. The users spout out water out from their hands into the ground and by using their chakra spinning their whole body into a massive whirlwind of water that can trapped enemies with them or protect themself from attack. The whirlwind spin at the speed of 25 m/s  at cover like 15 meter radius.

Water Dome - Resubmit

Like I said in chat, a water prison like this would be on the level of a C-Rank technique or above. Meaning, the cost would instead at least be 500 Chakra. Techniques that cost around 50 would be really simple D-Rank techniques that are more utility abilities (like creating a simple spray of water or inserting moisture into something) than something like this that can drown somebody.

Only reason I want you to resubmit this is to clarify just how this works. It's collecting moisture from the air, but how is it cast onto the target? Is the dome formed and then thrown at the opponent? Is it formed directly around them, if theyre in your vicinity? Describe it that way.



Water Shotgun - Approved with Changes

Again, other than the low cost, it works. We'll adjust that, and give the blast a cone-like range in this way:

Notice I added to the 'Type', too. Remember, this thread is for Ninjutsu and Kekkei Genkai, so let me know which it is that you're submitting. Cool? Cool.



Popping Butterfly - Approved with Changes

This is pretty powerful for what it's doing so I toned down the numbers a bit. A 15-meter radius would be a gigantic explosion of water. If that's the effect you were going for, though, go ahead and resubmit it with a higher cost. Something on that level would at least be a B-Rank technique, making the cost around 1,000 Chakra at least.

Description: This is s simple technique where the user blow a misty fog out of their mouth covering the field with fog that limit enemies' sight and movement as they can't see clearly. The mist cover about  25 meters and can only affect enemies not the users and have no special effects. However, people with dojutsu such like Byakugan and Sharingan may be able to see through this

Description: The user first rubs their hands as quickly as they can, as electricity started to surge around their hands. Once done, the user would then charge at the opponent with electricity all over their hands. If touched, the enemy would be shocked, only doing some minor damage, but still inflicting some pain.

Cost: 20,000 Chakra, 5 slots, 80 hand seals (no hand seals needed after using the jutsu 100 times after each use wears off... so basically 8,000 hand signs and you're golden)

Description: Demon Wind Claw generates a sharp demon hand which holds eight claws, when used it can reach up to forty yards away from the user and has an area range of six feet from the user in a blue wind claw surrounded by a sharp white blade all along the outside. The claw lasts for a good ten hours hence all of the chakra.

Description: The user summon Ichi a hedgehog from the land of Kiri that has the ability to propagate its own body parts into clouds of spike to protect its owner and at the same time damage the enemy by using the propagated spikes. The summon also has the power to shoot spike and move underground using its two claws two dig.


Name: Corroding Breathe
Type: Kenkai Genkai(Boil)

Cost: 600
Description: The user breathe out a corrosive mist that can corrode even building. The mist however won't affect the user and can only get as far as 20 meters. The technique is only useful in killing enemies without leaving behind any trails and not suitable to be use in open battle as in can also affect allies.


Name: Touch of Love
Type: Kenkai Genkai (Boil)
Class: General
Cost: 1000
Description: The user focus the chakra and turn focus their Boil Release on the palm of his hand, allowing anything that is touch by him to corrode or receive 2nd degree burn.

Demon Wind Claw - Resubmit

Okay, so, the effect itself is fine. The range works. But I highly suggest the cost be toned down. You wanted it to function as a steel cutter. I'm thinking you're referencing something like Kakashi's Lightning Cutter and its status as an S-Rank technique for the cost. But you really don't need it to be this high.

We discussed thresholds in chat. Your threshold would be completely exhausted even at jounin level, which will take some time to get to. I understand you want to be able to cut through pretty much everything---but, uh... w-we'll work out something else.

There are no absolutes in this system. The cost will definitely be enough to cut through damn near anything, but I'm willing to bet that you'll want to change that cost in due time.

You pass your first test, Drav!... Except for the fact that Wind Release wouldnt be a Kekkei Genkai but, other than that, great job!

Corroding Breath - Approved with changes

Change the radius to 15m instead of 20m. The acid would be powerful, but it wouldn't completely dissolve a body; it'd take several hours for the body to decompose to that point.

Touch of Love - Approved

Water Dome - Denied

I'm actually going to keep this, which is pretty much exactly like the Water Prison jutsu specific to Kirigakure, with that village. The idea of having jutsus specific to villages or people is that they are the only ones like it and, if you want to get it, you have to have access to it.

Simply creating a jutsu just like it completely circumvents the idea and makes it pointless.

Water Dragon Blast - Approved

Remember, Hiden techniques are non-Kekkei Genkai jutsus that are carried by clans. I would assume this means you plan to have a clan to attach this to. If not, just keep it as a Personal jutsu for Kain.

Foggy Field - Denied

Same thing with Water Dome. This is essentially the Hidden Mist jutsu. We'll keep that technique unique to that village.

Cost: 750 Ninjutsu
Description: An advanced Transformation technique, this allows Shimazu to take on the form of the target's shadow by perfectly mimicking its changes and movements. For static targets, like trees or rocks, this is simple to maintain, but he must maintain perfect synchronization with moving targets to remain undetected. Thus, if the target is either running or using high-speed movement, Shimazu will be separated from the person and can only stay with them when they are idle or walking.

The transformation lasts 4 rounds before it must be repaid, if he wishes to continue the transformation.

Description: The user charges water with chakra and can turn small puddles of water into makibishi spikes which disperse their form after being stepped on. The user must be within 7m of the pre-existing water source. The diameter of the reformed spikes covers 5m.

Let's, uh, let's leave out the whole thing with the hand seals degrading to only one hand seal, yeah?

Water Release: Kirigrenade - Approved with changes

Name: Kirigrenade
Type: Ninjutsu
Class: General
Cost: 4,999 chakra
Description: The user charges a pre-existing source of water within 3m with chakra, changing it into a single grenade. The user may delay the explosion for up to one more round before choosing to detonate it as long as they remain with 6m of it. The exploding grenade sends off 72 pieces of shrapnel in every direction for 10m.

Added a damage radius to the explosion, and a duration to how long the user can delay the explosion. If you don't detonate it the round after you create it, it becomes ordinary water again.



Keep working at it, Drav. Your submissions aren't bad at all; they're good, but you're not quite at the point where I'd hand over staff duties to you completely. I don't expect you to have absorbed the approval/denial process completely yet, though, so don't despair. It's a little more meticulous than I'm sure you're used to, but it'll come with time.

Marit Lage 

Name: Focus Palm Strike 
Type: Nintaijutsu
Class: Personal
Cost: 200
Description: The user attempts to strike their opponent with an open palm strike that when the palm strike is launched an invisible chakra wave extends up to 5 feet from in front of the users palm with speed and strength equal to half of the users Ninjutsu and Taijutsu stat combined. 




Name: Wolf Fang Destruction
Type: Nintajutsu
Class:Personal
Cost: 500
Description: The user uses chakra to stimulate their arms and feet to give them a 10 percent boost in speed for the duration of this attack. The user launches themselves at their opponent at a speed that allows the user to cover 10-15(if Moon Dancer is active 20-25) feet in the matter of an instant. Using their index and their middle finger in a hook form, they assault their opponent with a barrage of 10 high speed strikes that deals external and internal damage to the affected areas. 




Name:Moon Dancer  
Type: Ninjutsu

Cost: 250
Description: This technique allows the user to instantly give themselves a 10 percent boost in speed or strength(not both) for two posts by stimulate themselves with a short and large burst of chakra. Two post cooldown between uses. 




 Name: Devil Dog Dancing Destruction 

Type: Nintaijutsu
Class: Personal
Cost:500 
Description: The user must have Moon Dancer active. The user begins to run at their opponent in a high speed zigzag fashion so to dodge most projectiles in their direction. Then once the user reaches their target they slide to the right or left of the target and using a hooked index and middle finger, the user jabs into the target with enough force to shock an opponent for a second from the pain of external and internal damage then the user spins behind the target and lays to waste their opponent with an open double palm strike in the center of the targets spine causing a lot of internal damage and on most occasions especially with an opponent with lower strength than the user they will be in shock from the pain for at least a short moment.



Name: Wild Wolf Rampage
Type: Nintaijutsu
Class:Personal
Cost: 250
Description: The user uses chakra to augment their strength by 10 percent instantly to unleash a devastating single index and middle finger strike with enoungh force that a shot to the chest could knock the wind out of someone and in the case of extreme low strength cause a fractured bone.  

Name: Crush Claws
Type: Ninjutsu
Class: Personal
Cost: 150

Description: The user creates chakra gloves that make each finger come down to a sharp point and turns the users hands into  claws with serious cutting potential. At this stage this claws can tear through D - Rank Armor and walls pretty easily.
